PS3 jailbreak tweeted, then retweeted by Kevin Butler(now pulled from his twitter, but still up on @exiva. For how long? Who knows?) Did that just happen?

Now starting to work on this game when I have the time. Actually got this with LBP on Xmas but didn’t get around to it until recently. A bunch of my friends have Black Ops and I hope to get it before they burnout from it and I got one friend who wants to do multiplayer but our times are conflicting unfortunately. We’ll get it worked out! I’ve gotten about 3 or 4 trophies so far, but having trouble being stealthy. Any pointers would be great.

This is pretty cool. Too bad I don’t have a 3D TV, but in the distant future when I do get one this update will definitely be worth it. Here are the updates from playstation.com

Blu-ray 3D™ disc playback

The PS3™ system can now play 3D content on Blu-ray 3D™ discs.

  • An HD 3D display, active 3D glasses, and a high-speed HDMI cable (each sold separately) are required for 3D features. Visit www.us.playstation.com/support/3D for details.

Limitations on Blu-ray 3D™ disc playback

  • The 3D display of some elements such as menus and subtitles may be different on the PS3™ system than on other 3D playback devices.
  • Depending on the content, some BD-J (Blu-ray Disc™ Java*) features such as BONUSVIEW™ and BD-Live™ may not play in 3D or may not function properly on the PS3™ system.
  • When Dolby TrueHD is selected as the audio format, audio will be output in Dolby Digital during playback of Blu-ray 3D™ content.
  • When DTS-HD is selected as the audio format, audio will be output in DTS during playback of Blu-ray 3D™ content.

*Blu-ray Disc Java provides enhanced bonus content, including network access, picture-in-picture (PIP) functionality and expanded local storage.

Wow looks like my wife pre ordering LBP2 wasn’t as good as the current deal. Game + controller and get $15 off. Oh well she’s still happy with her game and her pink controller. That’s all that matters right?

Sony just took the wraps off their next portable gaming console. Im liking the specs already and like the fact that its got the backwards compatibility factor. What do you think?

Maybe there are greater aggravations in your life, but the symmetrical-on-the-outside, asymmetrical-on-the-inside USB connector has been a source of frustration since its introduction….

Dead Space 2 comes out today. So I might be able to find Dead Space on the cheap used. Yeah, gotta go cheap cause the $$ is tough right now.

I haven’t heard much about this game, other than its like resident evil, but here’s a link to the PSN blog:

Bubble Ball. Its a fun, physics style, free game available on most smartphones and on iTunes. The object of the game is to get the ball(that you can change colors) to a flag using objects and speed altering tools.

Actually, it beat out Angry Birds in popularity, and was designed by a 14 year old who said in an interview with Reuters, “I just wanted to make an iPhone app. I thought it would be cool and I wanted to see if I could do it”. Good job Robert Nay!

What do you all think of the game?

About a year and a half now since my last post, but I’ve made a resolution to actually start working on my blog(s). So some quick updates since my last post:

- Got a PS3 on X-Mas 2010 (Check out the PSN ID in the About Me section)
- Got a laptop on X-Mas 2009 (originally was for World of Warcraft…)
- Cancelled my World of Warcraft account due to money issues. (hence the change of name above to “The Budged-Minded Gaming Techie (BMGT)”)

Well this’ll be a start to my blog. If it gets better, I’ll start working with Wordpress and get some other stuff going with it. So what has been going on in the Blogosphere since I’ve been away?

Bought this backpack for my laptop and general daily use, maybe some school too. I was going back and forth between this and the Recon. I chose this one because it didn’t seem as bulky.

I just received mine yesterday, and loaded up my laptop and all my accessories, at first I thought it was small, but unstrapped the sides and wow! This thing can carry a lot! I could probably fill a couple good sized programming books and still have room!
